So back in November John and I were invited as guest to perform at a Unity Banquet that my best friend's girlfriend was putting together. I jumped at the opportunity and we worked on a couple of different songs and we ended up choosing an uplifting song by the name of Get Up. The night before our performance we got lucky because the song was still not all the way ready for performance and by chance John's college mates ended up being willing to work with us on some music. So we all went out the night before to a local bar in Rochester and afterwards we took it back to the apartment. I pulled out my laptop, threw on what we had so far and we just started vibing. What came out was an ending part where our good friend sang on and our good man Tom Timani came on it and polished it up. The next day we went to the banquet which was a very enlightening event. There were spoken word artists, break dancers, and a guest speaker who was a professor who bought up a very intersting point of view on what society makes unity to be. In short she was saying that society makes unity a term that makes people conform instead of debate and she was very right. And she gave the floor for anyone to challenge her point of view. It was a great night. We got on and performed and got a great response from the crowd. We're still working to professionally finish the Get Up track and as soon as its done we'll definitely get it up out to you guys in performance and in song.
